AH HAH!

I have finally figured out which camera I want for Christmas. I was debating and researching on the Sony A33 and the Nikon D3100, but after much reading and testing I decided that neither one was right for me.

Instead I am going for the Canon t3! I found it was the best camera for the price and if I want to upgrade the lens I don't need a new body for it.

Now I just need to wait and see if I actually get it for Christmas!

PANTONE COLOR 2012

Pantone Color Institute has predicted what the color trend is going to be for the year 2012 ...and ....it is ....TANGERINE TANGO. This color, according to the Pantone Color Institute is an electric red. It is 'warm, uplifting, and energizing'.

Tangerine Tango has already made its way into fashion, accessories, and decor. Here are some examples:

ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE

Today I went to the Two Women Vintage Goods' Antique and Crafts Show.  They had all sorts of anitque items, I couldn't focus on any one item. This served as great inspiration for today's 'Picture of Day'. This picture is perfect because the coffee table is a repurposed wood pallet and this was the sort of thing I saw at the fair.

I didn't go too crazy at the show, but ended up coming home with an antique sled, which I got for my mom because she has a whole collection of vintage and antique items, and an old metal suitcase, which is for me! I'll post pictures of what I bought in a few days, but for now have a great rest of your weekend!

GLITTERIZING

(I know its a little late to be posting on this, but I thought it would still be fun!)

So Aaron and I didn't get our pumpkins from Greenbluff (instead it was actually from Safeway) but the point is we finally got them!

I always like to be different when it comes to pumpkin decorating. For example. last year I got a white pumpkin instead of the traditional orange. This year I decided to glitterize my pumpkins.

All I needed was glitter in my choice of color, which I decided to do silver and black, spray on glue, and some newspaper to catch the stray glitter pieces.

All I did was turn the pumpkin on its side, sprayed glue section by section, and sprinkled glitter over the glue.

To finish the project off I dug out some scrap black and white fabric as a table cloth and displayed my sparkling pumpkins!

ITS PUMPKIN TIME!

It's that time of year again to get our pumpkins. For three years Aaron and I go up to Greenbluff and pick out our pumpkins to bring home. It was a beautiful day when we went up to the Main House. We decided to first treat ourselves to a giant cinnamon roll, which had delicious frosting with almond oil.

When we were done, we headed down to the pumpkin patch. However, every pumpkin they had left was giant and starting to mold...needless to say we were very disappointed. So we left and went to Walter's Fruit Ranch....aanndd we were disappointed again!!! It was the worst attempt at getting a pumpkin in years!

We did get to see some animals and buy some apples!

Hopefully our next outing for pumpkins will turn out a lot better! Hope you found your pumpkins already!

I would not consider myself into 'french farmhouse' design, but I must admit that there is something beautiful and charming about Dreamy Whites' blog and style. The simplicity of style makes me wanna design in 'french farmhouse'! Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

LAST DAYS OF SUMMER....

In the Pacific Northwest you can tell summer is coming to an end. Even though it is still in the 90s, the mornings and evenings are cool...even a little chilly. So with this collage I say goodbye to summer until next year...

3 YEAERS AGO....

Yesterday Aaron and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary! We have come a long way from the first day we met each other, which by the way was in a beer garden at Pig Out In The Park. For the anniversary we went out to breakfast, out on the boat, and rented a movie. It was a pretty chill day and of course we exchanged a few simple gifts.

Aaron gave me a little bouquet of flowers and a card. I did something alittle cheesy....ok A LOT cheesy. I have to give you a little background first. Aaron suffers from a badly healed rib that gives him a lot of pain in his back and arms, so.....I made him a massage coupon with four coupons. This way he can get a few professional massages whenever he wants or his back is killing him!

CLOSET ADDICTION

Happy Friday everyone! To bad Friday is now my new Monday...oh well, I can still wish you all a Happy Friday!

Now on to my closet addiction, which for most girls isn't so much a closet addiction as a way of life. I hate to admit it, but my closet addiction are stilettos! I wore them a lot maybe 6 years ago, but they started inconveniencing me, so I switched to flats (my favorites being converses!).

A girl can always dream and still love them from afar!

MORE HOMEMADE ART!

Lately Aaron (my boyfriend) and I have been talking about how much stuff we have...me mostly though. Most of the stuff I have is scattered around the house and is for crafting. I have gathered quite the collection of crafting supplies and fabrics over the past year. So I have decided to put what I have to use in any way possible. This is where more of my homemade art comes into play.

I took some left over fabric from a previous project and decided that it would work in my blue, black, and white bedroom, but I had to figure out how to display them.

So I took two extra sewing hoops and spray painted them black, stretched the fabric into it and BAM....its done.

How easy was that? And look how cute they are! They also match perfectly with my previous homemade art for the bedroom!

More pictures to follow showing the completed wall of art as my headboard!
