IN HONOR OF EARTH DAY

In honor of everything our planet has done for us, it deserves a little recognition.

This chair is environmentally friendly due to the fact that this chair is made from old furniture parts and also tells the history of previous pieces.

Happy Eath Day and remember to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!

PICTURE OF THE DAY

This would be such a cool workspace or kitchen. It would look like its sunny inside all the time!

DESPERATELY WANT ONE!

How awesome is this pod?! You could easily have a little oasis in your backyard where you could have a little lunch get together or lounge the afternoon away reading a great book. Not to mention these pods would be amazing to have a late night dinner outside without the bugs getting in your face!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!

Its a little late, but I still wanted to post about Earth Day.  I came across this great post about Heineken bottles being designed to double as bricks on Inhabitat. Alfred Heineken thought up the Heineken WOBO bottle (world bottle) while in the Carribean. He was troubled by the trashed beaches and lack of existent dwellings for low income people.

So he created a bottle that is square in shape and lays horizontally.  The new shape is meant to have the bottles interlock with eachother. This idea of reusing the beer bottles as bricks never took off, but there are a few structures that were created.  Many people thought this project never took off because the bottles were ahead of their time.

Happy Earth Day!

Try to remember to reduce your footprint on our environment, everything counts!
